Each and every films of Vijay have a heavy remake demand in Tollywood and Bollywood. This prevented Vijay films after Thuppaki from releasing on the same date of the Original version. But it is now said by the Mersal producers Thenandal Studios Ltd that whatever happens Mersal Telugu version Adirindhi will release along with Mersal.

Northstar Entertainment’s Sharrath Marar’s production banner which produced big films like Katamarayudu and Sardar Gabbar Singh will release Adirindhi in Telugu. With Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha, Nithya Menon in cast and Vijayendra Prasad in script department – Adirindhi has a strong connection with Telugu Language. It has been said that Adirindhi is an equally powerful and catchy title for this big film.
